FoliShield A

A combination of silicon and salicylic acid to help fight disease and improve plant health.  Both silicon and salicylic acid are known to significantly improve plant resistance to disease and promote rapid recovery from damage.  FoliShield A has been formulated to provide the optimum levels of each nutrient to prevent disease entering the plant cells, plus fighting any infection already in the plant.

Silicon and salicylic acid are both proven in research to reduce the incidence of Gray Leaf Spot in Perennial Ryegrass.  Add FoliShield A to your summer programmes to reduce GLS.  Maintain good levels of both silicon and salicylic acid in the leaf as the products works preventatively to reduce damage from infection, and less infection itself.  It will have limited effect as a curative spray, but will reduce further dpread.

For Dollar Spot issues, FoliShield A has a pH of 13 which will help to maintain a high leaf pH which is known to severely restrict the growth of the dollar spot pathogen.  It will not kill the fungus but instead create conditions that are not suitable for the spread of the fungus.  Apply FoliShield A ahead of high dollar spot pressure utilising the Smith-Kerns dollar spot prediction model.  Use high pH liquid fertiliser such as Crystal 18-2-8 (pH11) in combination to provide plant health, growth, and disease suppression in summer stress periods.

FoliShield A is part of our FFS pack which keeps turf healthy and disease-free over the summer, autumn and winter.  Use the recommended application mixes and rates in our FFS pack to keep turf in top condition all year round.  Always mix FoliShield A with a low pH liquid for Microdochium management

Apply 10 – 20 litres/hectare at a water volume of 200 – 400 litres/hectare.  Apply as a foliar spray.
