FFS Pack A

Microdochium Management

PSG have designed the FFS pack to give an all-round package that provides turf health and nutrition through the autumn and winter to keep Microdochium at bay and maintain a full coverage of turf. This mix works in a number of ways:- acidifying the leaf to stop infection and spread, priming the plants defence systems to fight infection, and boosting plant health and cell wall strength to stop the fungus entering the plant. Two separate tank mixes are recommended, and these should be applied alternately every 14 days during the peak Microdochium pressure periods in early autumn. As disease pressure subsides and growth reduces, applications should be made every 21 – 28 days. In periods of very high pressure in early autumn, an extra application at a 7 – 10-day interval can provide added plant protection.

Apply Pack A before the first disease pressure is seen to prepare the plant for the stresses ahead. Pack B should be applied 14 days later, or sooner if high disease pressure is expected.

Maintain this rotation of Pack A and Pack B regularly – bring applications closer together in high pressure and spread applications out further apart in low pressure.

If required, a fungicide can be tank mixed with 20l/ha of Forza 6%Fe + Cu + Zn to provide enhanced disease protection.
