Dollar Spot Prevention

Dollar Spot has been increasing in the UK recently and we have formulated our main summer liquid (Crystal) for golf courses with a high pH of 11 to combat dollar spot, plus it will help with the battle against anthracnose.  The latest research shows keeping the grass leaf at a high pH will keep dollar spot spread to a minimum.  Apply foliar sprays of Crystal every 7-14 days during peak dollar spot pressure periods to help maintain disease-free turf.

Rotate FoliShield A and FoliShield B in your mixes to maximise disease reduction.

Reducing the length of time that grass leaves remain wet overnight will help reduce disease.  Applying DropLock at 5l/ha every 2 weeks instead of 10l/ha monthly will help keep leaves drier overnight for a few days after application.  You can also apply DropLock at 2.5l/ha weekly in peak disease pressure periods to keeps leaves even drier.  This will also help reduce the likelihood of anthracnose.

Apply this mix every 7 – 14 days during high dollar spot pressure to maintain turfgrass growth and health. Prevent long periods of dew on your surfaces by irrigating lightly during the night or removing dew as early as possible every morning. Use DropLock at 2.5l/ha weekly during high pressure periods to keep surfaces drier and less disease prone.
